Fleet & Technology

The aircraft.
The pilots.
The sensors.

Eleven airframes flown by FAA Part 107 certified pilot-cinematographers with a combined 14,000+ flight hours and a zero-incident record across 3,200 commercial missions.

By the numbers

An FAA Part 107 fleet, an in-house colorist, and a 72-hour clock that has not missed in eight years.

AirPictorial operates an 11-aircraft fleet out of four U.S. hubs. Every aircraft is flown by a certified Part 107 pilot-cinematographer; every project is finished by an in-house colorist who delivers broadcast-ready ProRes 4444 from raw DNG inside 72 hours. Since founding in Portland in 2016, the studio has logged 14,000+ combined flight hours across 3,200 commercial assignments in 38 states and 11 countries — without a single aviation incident.

The fleet is engineered to match the assignment: cinema-grade aerial cinematography for hospitality and resort campaigns, survey-grade mapping for development documentation, and thermal and lidar payloads for inspection and infrastructure work.

Flagship aircraft

The four airframes a buyer will most often see on a project.

Each aircraft is paired with a role and the assignment type it flies most — chosen by the producer for the camera, the conditions, and the deliverable.

Workflow

Approve shots in real time, while the aircraft is still in the air.

AirLog is the studio's proprietary review-and-approval app. Live plates stream from the pilot's controller to a private client portal during the flight — clients comment, mark selects, and approve frames before the aircraft lands.

  • Live plate stream. Clips and stills delivered from the aircraft to the client's portal within seconds of capture.
  • In-app comments. Producers and clients leave timestamped notes on selects during the flight.
  • Reshoot risk eliminated. Coverage is confirmed before the drone lands — no second-day fly-backs for missed angles.
  • Full audit trail. Every approval, comment, and revision is timestamped and exportable for production records.
